Uzbeks on Moscow Cosmic Forum

In the Russian Centre of science and culture in Tashkent a meeting with 4 representatives of the youth of Uzbekistan was held. These young lady and gentlemen had also participated in the local International Youth Forum devoted to the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's first space flight. The Forum was conducted in Moscow on April 7 and 8 of 2011.Among the participants of the Moscow forum the winners of contests and scientific-technological competitions from 53 countries could be found. Uzbekistan was represented by the winners of the rocket-modeling contest Laylo Zaylitdinova, Valdimyr Kreydich, Yevgeniy Belkov, Aleksey Gnatik.

For a year 4 student of Tashkent State Technical University, Yevgeniy Belkov, the brightest impression of the trip to Moscow was the visit to Flight Control Centre, and also centrifuge by which prospective cosmonauts are being tested.
- There were 125 of us from different countries, including contestants, writers of essays, and also "technicians" - physics-experimentators and constructors. I befriended and exchanged contacts with many guys over there. We created 2 groups in social networks - the first is in "Vkontakte" (Russian version of Facebook) that was called "the 50th anniversary of Gagarin's flight to cosmos" and another - "МКС" (International conference of compatriots) is created in Facebook - Y.Belkov has shared in his interview.
Yevgeniy who is studying for engineer-technologist is bounding his future with aircraft construction. Thus all these events related to the 50th anniversary of a human being's flight to space have enriched him with many impressions and information. In particular, in order to become a participant of Moscow forum he prepared a report on topic "Uzbekistan and the space" so now he knows a lot about it.
- From 1961 to 1969 a Tashkent engineering combine was created in our capital. There were developed defensive devices from potential thread for satellites such as "Guard-1", "Guard-2", "Legato", - tells Y.Belkov. - Also on the base of Tashkent chemical-technological institute the technologies of extracting water from lunar soil and of the production of special alloys, which are impossible to be produced on the earth (e.g. the hydrargium-aluminium alloy that was achieved due to special thermal installments) were developed. In addition, certainly Tashkent was the place where the anti-radiation systems were primarily developed. In my research the new direction of our institute "Distance sounding of the earth with the help of cosmic satellites" was very useful.
As Lidia Nikitana, the head of the Russian-Cooperation Office in Uzbekistan, noticed the members of Uzbek delegation also directly communicated to the space by attending a space bridge with the International Cosmic Station.
According to her 2 more young representatives of Uzbekistan have become the winners of cosmic contest called "what do you know about mysterious, immense and changeable space" and are going to visit Paris where they will be received in the headquarters of UNESCO.
